On my way home last night my car blew out one of the back tires... a three way blow out (no pun intended)! It didn't end there, as I'm on the phone to roadside assistance some PLUEY decided to clip my drivers side right in front of me! The Pluey didn't stop he just kept going... Roadside assist never showed up, thank god for great co-workers to show up and help!

Ocean Current sponsored this years USBA Salt Creek Pro in Laguna Niguel, CA. It was the final stop of the USBA championship tour and Jeff Hubbard was en route to take the US National title for the third straight year…

Thursday night… picked Hubb up from the airport, seemed calm and collected as always.

Friday… set up and met with the tour organizers

Saturday 5:00am sharp we drove down to Salt Creek, we had a permit to park the team van right down on the beach; however even with a V8 and tow package the Current team van was no match for the sugar like sand, not a good move but thanks to the City maintenance, rangers and sheriff’s we got out of the pinch no problem!

Continuing in the morning was the beginning of the end as the heats at 8:00am! Through out the day Hubb won all the Pro heats he was placed in; however in the first heat of the DK Pro Hubb was ousted by Jacob Romero.

The whole day Saturday we had glassy 3 – 4 feet lefts and rights, a great day for everyone to be on the beach!

Sunday 6:00am… I woke up to the sound of the howling wind, I knew right then today was going to be an up hill battle. Low and behold the wind was peaking at about 25 kts, which turned Salt Creek Beach into a stormy, quick left drift that could put you in the rocks at the point within minutes… almost look like a tsunami with all the white wash and white caps rushing ashore. The day continued regardless of conditions and Hubb was crowned the USBA Champ and took 1st Place at the Salt Creek Pro!

So yesterday I traveled down South OC to have some breakfast with Allen from Transworld at the SC Cafe off of El Camino Real in San Clemente... ironically our waitress was Miss Transworld! So Allen and I asked her autograph the new copy of Transworld for the brass here at Ocean Current... she didn't have her kool hat.

After the meeting I cruised down to San Onofre, Old Mans to hang with Brett, Cole and Paul our team riders. Cole's in the WLT Championships it started yesterday 11/5 and goes until this Sunday, check out some pics and if you're in South OC you should go check it out!
